Deadpool 2 director David Leitch has expressed interest in taking on a remake of Bruce Lee’s 1973 classic Enter The Dragon.

As reported by Deadline, Bruce Lee’s Enter The Dragon might be remade with Deadpool 2‘s David Leitch in the director seat.

The 1973 martial arts classic was released right after Lee’s death, which marked its 45th anniversary last Friday.

Robert Clouse directed the original, which starred Lee, John Saxon and Jim Kelly. The plot sees Lee, a Shaolin martial artist, enter a karate tournament held by villain Han who is suspected to be an international drug smuggler.

Filmmakers including Spike Lee and Brett Ratner had previously been rumoured to direct the remake. However, it now seems that Leitch may take on the role of director. As well as Deadpool 2, Leitch also directed Charlize Theron film Atomic Blonde and both John Wick films.
