A burger ordered by Donald Trump during his visit to Japan has proven to be very popular amongst Japanese foodies.

New York Post reports that the US President’s burger was a a Colby Jacket Cheese Burger made with 100 percent American Angus beef. Prepared by Yutaka Yanagisawa, owner of Munch’s Burger Shack in Tokyo, the burger costed 1,200 yen ($10.54) but has proven to be quite a lucrative sale.

One day after the restaurant appeared on television showing Trump eating his classic American meal, Munch’s Burger Shack sold out of burgers by 2:30pm.

Yanagisawa said he was sent to the golf course to cook his burger for the Trump and Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, after which, Trump shook his hand and said his burger was “very good”.

Much’s Burger Shack had already been recognised as the best burger join in Tokyo but now enjoys even more demand.
