Chloe Bennet has responded to the church shooting in Sutherland, Texas, that left at least 26 dead and 20 injured.

During a Sunday service, a gunman opened fire at a church in Sutherland, Texas, during a Sunday service. Devin Patrick Kelley killed at least 26 people and injured 20. Victims were aged five to 72.

The 26-year-old was described as a “young, white male” by the police.

Kelley was discharged from the US air force in 2014 for assaulting his wife and child.

His motive for the church killings has yet to be found.

Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. actress Chloe Bennet has reacted to the incident via Instagram, captioned “Learn about how you can implement change. Go to @everytown…this shouldn’t be happening.”

In her post, Bennet writes that thoughts and prayers are not enough for these incidents. “I have “thoughts and prayers” for things like what I want to eat for brunch and hoping I don’t get a pimple before a date,” Bennet states.

“”Thoughts and prayers” are not enough to actually change the never ending merry-go-round of MASS FUCKING SHOOTINGS. These are entirely preventable” Bennet continues.

The 25-year-old actress goes on to blame elected officials who have the power to reform gun laws to prevent shootings. “WE vote the people into office who can actually reform gun laws and stop this happening,” she writes. “WE CHOOSE THEM.”

Bennet urges her followers to not vote for representatives who are paid by the NRA. “Educate yourself on the decisions your representatives are making. If they are assholes who are getting paid by the NRA, vote for someone else who isn’t a piece of shit. We can do this. I’m mad sorry. Bye.”

Bennet also responded to the Las Vegas shooting that left 58 people dead and 546 injured. Sharing a statement from Frozen actor Josh Gad, Bennet wrote that she was “paralyzed with anger and sadness that we are here yet again”.

“THIS IS COMPLETELY PREVENTABLE. @everytown is an organization that brings Americans against gun violence together.”

“Donate if you can, and get involved if you’re tired of this bullshit. What’s the point of social media if we can’t use it to rally against the things that really matter? This is our fault. Let’s do something about this.”

In other news, Bennet recently revealed that she was forced to change her last name because “Hollywood is racist”.
