Spider-Man: Homecoming‘s Tiffany Espensen has been cast in Avengers Infinity War, but could she be playing Cindy Moon?

In a video released by IMDb, viewers are reminded that Espensen’s character in Spider-Man: Homecoming was called Cindy. According to Espensen’s IMDb page, the Chinese American actress has been listed as Cindy in the upcoming Avengers film, Avengers: Infinity War.

According to IMDb, Cindy Moon was bitten by the same spider that had bitten Peter Parker. The Korean-American character then goes on to become Silk. This could mean that Silk may feature in Avengers: Infinity War.

Last year, Resonate writer Louisa Ling suggested that Spiderman Homecoming should introduce Cindy Moon. Spider-Man: Homecoming has the potential to continue to move beyond the stereotypical interpretations studios are so fond of, by including a character like Cindy Moon,” Ling argued.

Although the rumour has not been officially confirmed, IMDb pushing the rumour is encouraging.
