Michelle Yeoh has condemned Harvey Weinstein for his actions and has revealed she was aware of his reputation.

NY Daily News reports that Yeoh said she would have unleashed “years of martial arts training” on Harvey Weinstein if he ever tried to sexually harass her.

Weinstein produced and distributed many of the Malaysian actress’s films and shows. The Weinstein Co. was a producer of 2016 Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny and also produced the Netflix series Marco Polo.

Yeoh said in a statement to The Associated Press, “any man who treats women with such disrespect and contempt should be (prosecuted) to the full extent of the law”.

“I knew he was a bully and not always honorable. I wasn’t exposed to this side of him, otherwise he would have experienced the full effect of years of martial arts training,” she added.

It was recently reported that actresses in the Asian film business are less likely to speak up about sexual assault like the Harvey Weinstein scandal.

In other news, Yeoh recently said that her role in Star Trek: Discovery “means so much” to Asian women around the world.
