Hawaii Five-0 actor Keo Woolford has died at age 49.

Woolford played Detective James Chang in the CBS remake of Hawaii Five-0.

According to his publicist, Woolford died at a hospital in Hawaii, three days after suffering a stroke.

In 2001-02 Woolford starred as the King of Siam in The King And I, opposite Elain Paige in London’s West End.

In 2013, Woolford received a special jury prize at the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival for best first feature, The Haumana. Publicist Tracy Larrau said Woolford had just completed the script for a sequel, with auditions beginning in January.

Woolford also had small roles in films including Falling For Grace, Gozilla (2014) and Happy, Texas.

Daniel Dae Kim and Brian Yang, who star alongside Woolford in Hawaii Five-0, paid their tributes via Twitter.
