Elizabeth Sung has died at the age of 63.

As reported by Deadline, Hong Kong movie and television actress Elizabeth Sung has died aged 63.

Best known for her role as  Luan Violen Abbott on The Young And The Restless from 1994 to 1996, Sung was a prominent Hong Kong actress on western television in the 90s.

Her filmography includes The Joy Luck Club, Lethal Weapon 4, Falling for Grace and Memoirs of a Geisha. Sung also has an extensive list of television appearances including The Sopranos, Picket Fences, Charmed, NYPD Blue, Touched by an Angel, House, Desperate Housewives, CSI, NCIS: Los Angeles, Hawaii Five-O and Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Most recently, Sung appeared in Shameless, Elementary, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders and Disjointed.

The Elizabeth Sung Memorial Scholarship Fund at Visual Communications has been created to expand opportunities for Asian-Pacific-American talent. Sung’s family are asking those who wish to honour her to make a donation to the fund.
