Tiffany Young - Pacific Music Group

Tiffany Young is entering a new era. As she nears two decades in the spotlight, the singer-songwriter and actress has signed a comprehensive “360 deal” with Pacific Music Group (PMG). This partnership includes both a recording contract with Pacific Records and full management representation, positioning Young as the inaugural artist on the company’s Korean roster.

The move comes as PMG, a globally-focused entertainment firm, rapidly expands its footprint. Founded by a diverse group of industry veterans—including R&B star Ne-Yo, rapper MC Jin, Indian icon Sonu Nigam, and executive Jonathan Serbin—the company aims to bridge Asian talent with international audiences.

In a statement regarding the signing, Young emphasized a shift in her creative philosophy. “As I step into the next phase of my career, I find myself focusing more than ever on intention,” she said. Young noted that she is prioritizing the “quiet importance of details” as she prepares for her tenth solo anniversary album, scheduled for release in May 2026.

Jonathan Serbin, PMG’s CEO, described Young as a “true pioneer” who helped define a generation of K-pop. He noted that her signing reflects the company’s long-term commitment to South Korea as a “cornerstone of the global music industry.” To support this vision, PMG has added twelve new staff members to its Seoul office to handle creative development and global marketing.

From California to Global Icon

Young’s career is a study in the globalization of Korean pop. Born in California, she moved to Seoul at fifteen to train with SM Entertainment. In 2007, she debuted with Girls’ Generation, a group that provided the blueprint for the modern K-pop girl group.

She has a history of breaking barriers on the American charts. As a member of the trio TTS, she helped secure the first-ever Billboard 200 entry for a K-pop girl group. Her solo work has been equally successful, with her 2016 debut I Just Wanna Dance and her 2019 collaboration with Babyface, Lips on Lips, both reaching significant peaks on the Billboard charts.

While music remains her primary focus, Young has spent recent years diversifying her career. She earned critical acclaim for her portrayal of Roxie Hart in the South Korean production of the musical Chicago and appeared in the Disney+ series Uncle Samsik. She has also become a fixture on television as a mentor, guiding aspiring idols on competition shows like Girls Planet 999.

With new music expected later this year under the Pacific Records banner, this partnership signals Young’s readiness to reclaim her place as a primary force in the global music scene.
