Chloe Bennet is headed to HBO. The Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. star has joined the cast of The White Lotus Season 4, marking a high-profile new chapter in her career as she continues to move beyond her Marvel fame.

The news was confirmed by Variety, which also announced that Max Greenfield, Kumail Nanjiani, Charlie Hall, and Jarrad Paul will appear in recurring roles in the upcoming season of Mike White’s hit anthology series. As always, character and plot details remain tightly under wraps—but Bennet’s addition to the ensemble hints at another sharp, celebrity-laced exploration of privilege and moral chaos in paradise.

This casting also builds on The White Lotus‘ growing East Asian momentum. BLACKPINK’s Lisa made her acting debut as Mook in Season 3’s Thailand storyline, a role that came after creator Mike White admitted he “didn’t know who BLACKPINK was” but was won over by her humble demeanor and standout audition. Lisa’s performance marked a pivotal shift from K-pop stardom to HBO drama, proving the show’s appetite for global stars who bring fresh cultural layers.

For Bennet, whose recent performance in Interior Chinatown (based on Charles Yu’s award-winning novel) has drawn praise for its depth and wit, this HBO role signals her growing presence in prestige television.

The Chinese American actress has long been vocal about on-screen representation and identity, particularly in Hollywood spaces where Asian American actors have historically been sidelined. Her casting in The White Lotus—a show known for its satirical lens on power and social hierarchy—feels especially resonant.

Previous seasons of The White Lotus have explored wealth, race, and privilege through resort settings in Hawaii, Italy, and Thailand. Season 4, which began production earlier this year, will once again blend dark humor and social critique through an international ensemble of familiar faces, including previously announced cast members Helena Bonham Carter, Vincent Cassel, Steve Coogan, and Sandra Bernhard.

With Bennet in the lineup, The White Lotus continues to expand its cultural reach—both in representation and in the global scale of its cast.
