The 13th edition of the Seoul International Film Awards lit up Seoul Dragon City on 10 December 2025, but the night’s defining moment belonged to TWICE’s Dahyun. The singer-actress secured a major win for her performance in You Are The Apple Of My Eye, marking a new high point in her steadily rising acting journey.

Billed as “Star’s Night – Korea’s Top Star Awards Ceremony,” the annual event honoured films released between August 2024 and November 2025, including OTT titles. With a guest list stacked with names like Cha Woo Min, Song Ji Hyo, Kim Min Jong, Lee Yu Bi, and Jung Sung Il, Dahyun’s award emerged as one of the evening’s most talked-about highlights.

Dahyun’s award-winning project, You Are The Apple Of My Eye, reimagines the beloved coming-of-age story for a new generation. Set in a small Korean city, the series follows a tight-knit group of high school friends navigating first love, heartbreak, and the bittersweet transition into adulthood. At its core is a warm, nostalgic look at youth—the kind of love that shapes you long before you understand its impact.

Dahyun stars as Han Seul, a studious but quietly rebellious top student who becomes the emotional anchor of the group. Beneath her disciplined exterior lies a streak of independence and vulnerability that Dahyun brings to life with understated charm. Her portrayal—balancing innocence, humour, and coming-of-age complexity—was widely praised as a breakout moment, solidifying her transition from idol to respected screen talent.

“I’m honored to have received the Best New Actress Award at the Seoul Global Movie Awards!” She shared. “I want to share my gratitude with ONCE first. Thank you for always standing by my side and supporting me with so much love.🫶🏻 I’m forever grateful, and I love you, ONCE!”

Actor Kim Ji-hoon also delivered one of the evening’s biggest triumphs, earning the Best Acting Award in the OTT Category for his performance in the Amazon Prime series Butterfly. The award was presented during a special segment of the ceremony at Hanra Hall in Dragon City Hotel.
