John Cho and Alicia Hannah-Kim are set to star alongside Jun Ji Hyun and Kang Dong Won in Disney+’s upcoming spy drama, Tempest.

Starring Jun Ji Hyun and Kang Dong Won, Tempest follows Moon Ju (Jun Ji Hyun), a renowned diplomat and former ambassador to the United States, as she investigates a suspicious assassination case involving South and North Korea. Joining her on this perilous mission is San Ho (Kang Dong Won), a mysterious special agent of unknown origin.

“Can you understand that I am the boss and follow my commands no matter what?” Moon Ju demands in the teaser, hinting at the intense dynamic between the two protagonists.

“I’ll take care of her,” San Ho responds cryptically over the phone.

The star-studded cast also includes Hollywood actor John Cho (Star Trek), who will make his Korean drama debut as the U.S. Deputy Secretary of State.

Tempest boasts a talented ensemble, with additions like Christopher Gorham (The Lincoln Lawyer), Alicia Hannah-Kim (Cobra Kai), and Jacob Bertrand (Cobra Kai).

Tempest promises a thrilling ride filled with “assassinations, political games, conspiracies and spies,” as described by Disney+ and Hulu. Directed by Kim Heewon and co-directed by renowned martial arts director Heo Myunghaeng.
