Maggie Q to Take the Lead in Prime Video’s New ‘Bosch’ Spin-Off Series

Maggie Q will star in a new series on Prime Video. This show is a spin-off of Bosch and is based on books by Michael Connelly. Maggie Q will play Renée Ballard, a detective leading the Cold Case Division in Los Angeles. This division looks into old, unsolved cases with little money and help. Despite this, Ballard works hard to solve these mysteries with care and strong will.

In her investigations, Ballard finds a big secret and needs help from Harry Bosch, played by Titus Welliver, to face the danger. This storyline comes from a series of six books, with the first book released in 2017 and the latest due in November.

This new series adds to the Bosch world, following Bosch: Legacy, which is going into its third season. Maggie Q’s most recent role in The Family Plan, an action-comedy film where she starred alongside Mark Wahlberg. Despite receiving mixed reviews, the movie managed to capture a significant audience on Apple TV+.
