BBC reports that viral song ‘Baby Shark’ has become YouTube’s most watched video of all time.

Released in 2016 by South Korean company Pinkfong, the catchy children’s rhyme took the internet by storm.

Featuring just two child actors performing simple dance moves, the campfire song was regarded as adorable by some but as a relentless earwig by others.

Last year, West Palm Beach was blasting ‘Baby Shark’ to drive away homeless people.

As of November 2020, ‘Baby Shark’ now has 7.04 billion times. The song has overtaken Luis Fonsi’s Latin pop hit ‘Despacito’ as YouTube’s most viewed video.

Lasting 2 minutes and 16 seconds, Baby Shark has been streamed cumulatively for 30,187 years.

Pinkfong has consequently made $5.2m from YouTube streams alone.
