Newsarama reports that DC Comics has promoted Jessica Chen to Editor as part of the Batman editorial group.

Chen joined DC in 2010 as a Production Artist and was promoted to Associate Editor in 2013.

Over the past three years, Chen worked in the Superman editorial group under Group Editor Brian Cunningham.

Her work included being the lead editor on Supergirl and Metal Man as well as working on Superman, Action Comics, Lois Lane, and Superman’s Pal Jimmy Olsen.

Now, Chen’s role as Editor will see her shifting her focus on to Batman.

“I’ve been promoted to Editor at DC Comics and am excited to edit even more of the best books and characters in the biz,” Chen tweeted.

“I suspect my eyes will need time to adjust to the new neighborhood though, going from bright Metropolis to broody Gotham.”
