LA Times reports that Chinese heiress Tiffany Li is on trial for the murder of her children’s father.

Li had posted $35-million bail after being charged with the murder in 2016, allowing her to stay in her San Francisco Bay Area mansion pending trial.

Green and Li met in 2009. Green, 21 at the time, was a high school football star. Li, 23 at the time, was already sitting on a fortune due to her family’s real estate business in China.

Prosecutors alleged in court on Monday that Li conspired with her new boyfriend Kaveh Bayat to kill Keith Green – the father of their two young children.

Green was reportedly set up to meet Li and was shot by Bayat in Li’s San Francisco Bay Area mansion’s garage. The couple then paid Olivier Adella $35,000 to dispose of the body as they covered their tracks.

Green was last seen meeting with Li to discuss custody of their children. His body was found two weeks later on a dirt road north of San Francisco.

Adella is expected to testify against Li and Bayat.

The trial has been postponed several times as Li was diagnosed with breast cancer and Adella was arrested for violating his agreement and contacting a former girlfriend.
