People reports that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s son Maddox is heading to South Korea college Yonsei University.

Jolie-Pitt, 18, is the eldest child of the celebrity couple. The Cambodian adoptee will enrol at the university this month to study biochemistry.

Speaking to People, Jolie discussed her son’s decision. “I’m nothing but proud,” the 44-year-old actress said. “I look forward to all he will do.”

One source said Jolie-Pitt had picked up Korean and whilst chose Yonsei ahead of other universities.

“He got accepted to other universities but choose Yonsei,” a source said. “He has been studying Korean language. He has lessons multiple times a week to prepare.”

“Mom is dropping him off in August,” the source said added. “She is very proud. She will miss seeing him as much, but he’s ready.”

Discussing her other children Pax, 15, Zahara, 14, Shiloh, 12, and 10-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne, Jolie said she enjoys educating her kids.

“We enjoy reading the kids pullout of the New York Times and look at National Geographic,” says Jolie, “but as a parent, I felt there wasn’t that one vetted and reliable internationally-minded news program tailored for children that we could sit down and watch together each week. That is what I hope this will be for our family and other families.”

In related news, Pitt recently discussed his fight scene with ‘Bruce Lee’ in Quentin Tarantino’s latest film Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, which was heavily critiqued by Lee’s daughter Sharon Lee.
