Crazy Rich Asians grossed $5 million on opening day according to Warner Bros.

According to Deadline, Warner Bros has reported that Crazy Rich Asians grossed $5 million on its opening day, resulting in a 5-day box office estimate of $23-25 million.

Tracking estimates for the film were previously set at $20 million.

68% of Crazy Rich Asians’ opening audience were female and 32% male – both awarded the film an A on CinemaScore.

12% of the audience were under 18s, who awarded Jon M Chu’s movie an A+. 66% of over 25s gave it an A.

Over 50s represented 17% of the audience and graded the film A-.

Females under 25 accounted for 24% whilst Asians accounted for 44$. Caucasians represented 32%, African Americans 11% and Hispanic 10%.
