South Korean film ‘Be With You’ to be released in the US and UK

South Korean film Be With You is set to be release din the US and UK.

According to VarietyBe With You opened on top of the South Korean box office Wednesday and will come to the US and UK.

Directed by Lee Chang-hoon, the melodrama is a remake of a 2004 Japanese film with the same title. The plot follows a woman who returns as a spirit after leaving behind her son and husband.

Be With You pulled in $805,000 from 112,000 on its first day of release in South Korea, taking a 35% market share.

Son Ye-jin and So Ji Sub both star in the film, as well as Ko Chang-seok and new child actor Kim Ji Jwan.

The film will be released in other south east Asian countries including Taiwan (30 March), Singapore (19 April), Vietnam (6 April), Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, the Philippines, Malaysia and Indonesia.

Distributor JGB will bring the film to the US, UK and Ireland.
