Asian American YouTuber has been criticised for his “ignorant” video in Hong Kong.

As reported by Coconuts, Asian American YouTuber Bryan Le, better known as RiceGum, has been criticised for making a video in which he mocks Hong Kong.

In the video titled ‘Why I Left The Clout House (im sorry)’, RiceGum and his sidekick M2THAK fly to Hong Kong and vlog their experience.

The pair are seen walking around Tsim Sha Tsui and asking people where they can eat cats and dogs. They are also seen asking strangers “where the hoes at?” and laughing when they are not understood.

RiceGum also films himself asking a lady advertising massage services if she offers “happy endings”.

In one clip, RiceGum films Hong Kong’s street food, which he describes as “disgusting”.

At one point, RiceGum hands over his half eaten ice cream to an elderly man and seems to get a kick out of it.

Meanwhile, M2THAK uses Chris Tucker’s line from Rush Hour, “do you understand the words that are coming out of my mouth?” on random Chinese people.

Netizens responded by commenting that the video was distasteful. “Do your research before you come to Hong Kong,” commenter wrote. Others said it was “disrespectful” of local culture and described RiceGum and M2THAK as “ignorant tourists.”

“Maybe you should ask your parents about it, so you will not be that ignorant about your ancestry,” wrote another commenter.

“Please don’t be another Logan Paul,” one commenter added.
