Susan worked as an academic librarian for many years, after studying for a degree in English and an MA in Literature, History and Culture (University of Southampton, 2001). More recently, Susan has become a full-time writer, having published numerous articles, mainly about social history and football. She has written three books, Ipswich Town: A History (2013), Secret Ipswich (2015) and Ipswich Pubs (2016), all published by Amberley Press. She is currently researching for her latest biography about Frank Soo, the unknown Chinese footballer that played for England.
