Indonesian singer and actress Agnez Mo has been cast in C.L.A.Y., a new cyber-thriller starring Nicolas Cage and Michael Sheen.

The film will mark Mo’s first on-screen English-language movie role, following her English-language acting debut in the fourth season of Amazon’s Reacher. She joins a cast that also includes Jordi Mollà, Emilio Sakraya and Adrian Topol.

Production is scheduled to begin in London this November.

Written and directed by Simon Afram, C.L.A.Y. follows a brilliant but socially invisible computer prodigy who finds purpose and belonging after joining an underground hacker collective.

The group is known as C.L.A.Y., short for “Clowns Laughing At You”. Its provocative digital exploits eventually lead to real-world consequences, attracting the attention of intelligence agencies, criminal syndicates and rival hackers.

The film is Afram’s directorial debut. He previously wrote and produced Simon West’s upcoming World War II spy film Fortitude.
