Lana Condor is moving away from the world of love letters and into a fight for her life. The first trailer for Pretty Lethal has officially arrived, showcasing a brutal survival thriller that turns the world of elite ballet into a bloodbath. Condor stars alongside Maddie Ziegler and Iris Apatow in a film that effectively blends martial arts with high-end choreography.
The story kicks off when a group of five competitive ballerinas, who aren’t exactly on friendly terms, find themselves stranded. Their bus breaks down in a remote forest on the way to a major competition. Seeking shelter, they end up at a creepy roadside inn managed by Devora Kasimer (Uma Thurman), a reclusive and clearly unhinged former dance prodigy.

Lana Condor plays one of the central dancers who must lead the group when the inn turns into a death trap. Thurman’s character traps the girls inside and unleashes henchmen to take them out. For Condor’s character, survival means forcing her rivals to stop bickering and start fighting back.
Director Vicky Jewson explained that the film focuses on using the “highly specific skillset of a ballerina in the action space.” The result is what the production team calls “ballet-fu.” The dancers weaponize their discipline and grace—and even their pointe shoes—to survive the night.

The project features a strong ensemble cast. Joining Condor and Thurman are Avantika (Mean Girls), Millicent Simmonds (A Quiet Place), and Iris Apatow.
Behind the scenes, the action has serious pedigree. Kelly McCormick, a producer from the team behind Atomic Blonde, is producing the film. The production is a collaboration between Amazon MGM Studios and 87North Company, the studio founded by David Leitch. Fans can expect the same gritty, stylized combat seen in their previous hits like John Wick.
Pretty Lethal is set to make its world premiere at the SXSW festival. After its festival run, the film will skip a traditional theatrical release and head straight to streaming.
You can watch Lana Condor and the rest of the ensemble in action when the film hits Prime Video globally on March 25, 2026.
