In a move that has stunned the K-pop community, 2NE1 member Park Bom has publicly accused her bandmate Sandara Park of involvement in a drug scandal. In a handwritten letter shared on social media on Tuesday, Bom alleged that she was used as a scapegoat to hide Sandara’s own legal troubles.
The post, which has since been deleted, directly addressed Bom’s 2010 legal incident involving Adderall. “Sandara Park was caught in a drug case and, to cover it up, made Park Bom into a drug addict,” the letter stated.

The Adderall Dispute
Bom used the letter to clarify her past medical history, specifically regarding her use of Adderall. While the medication is a legal prescription in the United States for Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), it is a controlled and restricted substance in South Korea.
“I am an ADD patient,” Bom wrote. “I am being cautious in case this causes another uproar, but I feel troubled about the drug known as Adderall. It is not a narcotic.”
In 2010, Bom faced an investigation for importing the pills via international mail without proper customs declarations. Prosecutors eventually suspended the indictment after verifying the pills were for legitimate medical treatment. Bom now claims the subsequent public scandal was manufactured by others.
Accusations Against YG Entertainment
The letter did not stop at her bandmate. Bom called out several high-profile figures associated with her former agency, YG Entertainment.
She specifically mentioned founder Yang Hyun-suk, producer Teddy, and 2NE1 leader CL (Lee Chae-rin). Bom requested they “stop reporting to the authorities that Park Bom used more than the prescribed amount of a drug she has not taken in nearly 30 years.”
Representatives for Sandara Park quickly dismissed the claims. A statement provided to YTN Star described the allegations as “groundless.”
Park Bom has been on an official hiatus from 20NE1 activities since August 2025. Her agency, D-Nation Entertainment, previously cited “health issues” and an “unstable emotional state” as the reasons for her break.
At the time, the agency apologized for “incomprehensible” posts on her social media, stating that “she is in urgent need of treatment and rest.” This latest post has raised further concerns among fans about her well-being and the internal dynamics of the iconic girl group.
