After years of waiting, the silence is officially shut down. BLACKPINK have finally drawn a line in the sand—and that line is called Deadline.

On Wednesday (Jan 14), YG Entertainment confirmed that the quartet will return on Feb 27 with their new mini album.

The reveal came in classic BLACKPINK fashion: flashing pink beams, jet-black visuals, and a title that makes it clear time is up. Deadline drops at 1pm KST.

If the name sounds familiar, that’s because it mirrors the group’s ongoing Blackpink World Tour , which has been burning up stadiums since July.

The tour wraps on Jan 26 after three final shows at Hong Kong’s Kai Tak Stadium, following massive runs across Asia—including three back-to-back nights at Singapore’s National Stadium.

“We deeply appreciate our fans for their long wait,” a source from YG said. “We will repay their support with high-quality music, so we kindly ask for your continued interest.”

Even during their musical hiatus, BLACKPINK never stopped breaking records. In 2025, ‘Jump’ soared to number one on the Billboard Global 200, making them the first K-pop girl group to land three chart-toppers on the ranking.

Now, more than three years after Born Pink and its era-defining hits ‘Pink Venom’ and ‘Shut Down’, the group are ready to flip the hourglass. The message is loud, clear, and very BLACKPINK: when the deadline hits, the world pays attention.
