The fictional K-pop group HUNTR/X is about to become very real. The singing voices behind the hit Netflix animated film ‘KPop Demon Hunters’ — EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami — are set to perform live for the first time as a unit on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.’

The highly anticipated performance will take place on Tuesday, October 7, where the trio will take the stage at Studio 6B to perform their smash hit, “Golden.”

The news arrives three months after the animated film premiered on Netflix and rapidly became a massive pop culture phenomenon. ‘KPop Demon Hunters’ has already achieved historic success, becoming the streamer’s most popular film of all time.

The music has been equally huge. The ‘KPop Demon Hunters’ soundtrack debuted atop the Billboard 200 Soundtrack chart and remains the best-selling soundtrack of 2025. Their lead single, “Golden,” became the first-ever female K-pop single to reach No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, where it has remained for six weeks.

The song’s success is a landmark achievement. The soundtrack also holds the distinction of being the first to have four simultaneous Top 10 hits on the Billboard Hot 100, showcasing the depth of the film’s original music.

Performing for the First Time

EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami provide the singing voices for the film’s main characters, Rumi, Mira, and Zoey, respectively. While the fictional group HUNTR/X has millions of fans globally, this October 7 appearance will mark their first-ever live performance as the vocal unit.

The trio will also join host Jimmy Fallon for an interview segment, offering insights into the music and the film’s shocking success.

Speaking previously to Billboard about the film’s runaway popularity, the singers shared that they were still processing it all. When asked about a potential sequel, REI AMI said, “The sequel has not been confirmed. We are, you know, looking forward, and we will know once we get that email.”

The October 7 episode of ‘The Tonight Show’ will also feature Jennifer Lopez as a guest.
