McDonald’s is once again capitalizing on the global phenomenon of BTS, with the launch of a new, limited-edition Happy Meal collection featuring TinyTan figurines. The BTS-themed Happy Meals are set to be rolled out globally, with a confirmed launch date in Singapore on September 25.

The collaboration follows the immense success of the companies’ 2021 BTS Meal, which included menu items chosen by the group and limited-edition packaging. This new collaboration focuses on collectibles, specifically a line of miniature figurines inspired by each of the seven members of the K-pop supergroup.

Two Collections, Two Eras

The TinyTan Happy Meal collection will be released in two distinct parts.

The first, called the ‘Throwback Edition’, will be available from September 25 to October 15. This set features the TinyTan characters wearing the classic outfits from the 2021 BTS Meal promotional campaign.

The second set, the ‘Encore Edition’, will be available from October 16 to November 12. These figurines will sport new outfits inspired by the McDonald’s brand itself.

In total, there will be fourteen unique toys to collect, seven in each edition. The figurines will be released in a blind-box format, adding to the excitement of collecting. Each box will also come with a QR code that gives access to the TinyTan Digital Play experience, offering a digital component to the collectables.

A Global Rollout

The BTS TinyTan Happy Meals will be available for a limited time in nearly seventy countries, including Singapore and the United States. They can be purchased in person at participating restaurants or through the McDonald’s app. The fast-food giant will also offer limited-edition Happy Meal boxes, further enhancing the collectable nature of the collaboration.

The TinyTan characters, inspired by BTS members RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook, have become a brand in their own right, and their presence on McDonald’s Happy Meals is a powerful reflection of the K-pop group’s enduring global influence.
