JJ Lin has joined forces with Hong Kong legend Jackie Chan for their first-ever recording collab — a brand new track titled Skibidi.

The link-up was announced via Taiwan’s Hit FM on August 25, with Lin’s label JFJ Productions confirming the news the following day. A photo of the pair was shared on social media with the caption: “Hear it first. Preview @JJLin & @jackiechan’s new single, Skibidi, before its global release tomorrow, August 27 at 10am.”

While the title might sound like a joke, Skibidi is very real. The word recently made it into the Cambridge Dictionary after going viral online thanks to the bizarre yet addictive Skibidi Toilet YouTube series. Depending on context, it can mean “cool,” “bad,” or nothing at all — just pure internet chaos.

According to Hit FM, the track is an upbeat anthem that reflects both stars’ work ethic: all-in, no compromises. For Chan, it also marks new territory — his first step into electronic music. The martial arts icon has long dabbled in music, recording soundtracks for classics like Drunken Master II and Rumble in the Bronx, as well as releasing studio albums in the ’80s and ’90s.

This collab isn’t completely out of the blue. Back in April, Lin and Chan performed the 1993 hit Sincere Hero together at the Beloong Music Festival in Wuhan. At the time, Lin shared: “Truly honoured to be invited by my lifelong hero… Sharing the stage with you is a dream come true.” He also teased, “Looking forward to our new song together.”
