The next Spider-Man movie is getting some serious, old-school action expertise. Legendary stunt icon Jackie Chan has revealed that his famous stunt team is assisting with the action on Marvel Studios’ Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and he even visited the London set.

In a recent interview, Chan shared the surprising reason he was in London. “My Jackie Chan Stunt Team was busy filming Spider-Man, and I was the action director for the Jackie Chan Stunt Team,” he explained.

Chan’s team has previously worked on a number of his most iconic films, from the Police Story franchise to Rush Hour and Shanghai Noon, so you can expect some of the most dynamic and innovative fight sequences the MCU has seen yet.

Chan himself isn’t in the film, but his visit to the set still caused a stir. “I went to watch their rehearsals, and the director was so excited when he saw me,” he said. Chan also had high praise for the web-slinger himself, Tom Holland. “I heard the young man paid tribute to my films in a lot of action scenes and has done stunts by himself,” Chan noted.

A New Chapter for the Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man

Spider-Man: Brand New Day, directed by Destin Daniel Cretton (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings), is set to be released on July 31, 2026. The film is expected to follow Peter Parker as he gets back to his roots as a street-level hero.

The star-studded cast includes Tom Holland as Peter Parker, with Zendaya and Jacob Batalon expected to reprise their roles as MJ and Ned. The film will also introduce a gritty new element, with Jon Bernthal confirmed to appear as Punisher. Set photos have also teased a possible fight scene with Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk. Other rumored cast members include Sadie Sink and Florence Pugh.
