South Korean comedy thriller Parasite won four awards at the Chicago Film Critics Awards.

The 2019 film was awarded Best Picture, Best Foreign Language Film and Best Original Screenplay. Director Bong Joon-ho was also honoured as Best Director for the film.

Little Women was the only other film to win four awards – Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Original Score, Best Costume Design and Best Supporting Actress.

Starring Song Kang-ho, Lee Sun-kyun, Cho Yeo-jeong, Choi Woo-shik and Park So-dam, Parasite tells the tale of poor household members trying to become employees of a wealthier family. The characters pose as unrelated, high profile people.

Earlier this year Parasite was the first Korean film to win the Palme d’Or – the highest award at the Cannes Film Festival.
