Rick & Morty writer Jessica Gao is working on a new Chinese-American comedy TV series.

According to CNETRick & Morty writer Jessica Gao is developing a new Chinese-American comedy series for ABC.

Although the show is technically unnamed Gao’s new series is going under the working title of Lazy Rich Asians – clearly inspired by the success ofCrazy Rich Asians.

The new show will focus on Janet Zhao, a young Chinese-American who inherits a wealthy sum after her grandmother dies. Zhao quickly becomes the “unwilling new matriarch of the family”.

Gao has worked on Silicon Valley, Robot Chicken and Kung Fu Panda: Legend of Awesomeness. She recently was awarded an Emmy for writing the Pickle Rick episode of Rick & Morty.
