X-Men: Days Of Future Past actress Fan Bingbing has disappeared from social media amid tax probe rumours.

According to Bloomberg, Fan Binging has disappeared from social media following rumours that she was barred from exiting China whilst a tax evasion investigation is carried out.

The 36-year-old who played Blink in 2014’s X-Men: Days of Future Past has over 62 million followers on Weibo but has not updated her account since June.

Also in June, Fan had denied tax evasion accusations following a probe by Chinese authorities.

“The studio and Fan Bingbing will fully cooperate with the relevant authority,” Fan’s studio said at the time. “We hope the investigation result can be released soon to answer the public’s doubts,”

Her last post dated 2 June was about the work of her charitable foundation. Li Chen, her boy friend, has also not updated his social media account since 6 July. Fan’s boyfriend, actor Li Chen, has not updated his account since July 6.

Tax authorities in China suspected that business celebrities were using a fraudulent dual-contract system to evade taxes and were investigating Fan.

Fan, her production company and her agent can not currently be reached, Chinese media reports.
