Kpop group BTS has had the biggest 24-hour debut on YouTube of 2018.

Forbes reports that Kpop group BTS has earned the title of having the biggest 24-hour YouTube debut.

Released on 18 May, the ‘Fake Love’ MV garnered 35.9 million hits in its first day. At the time of writing, the video has over 71 million views. It reportedly had 4.8 million views in the first hour of its release.

However, Taylor Swift holds the 24-hour debut record of 43.2 million views in August 2017 for ‘Look What you Made Me Do’.

Fellow South Korean singer PSY holds second place with his 2013 viral hit ‘Gentleman’ drawing in 36 million views in its first 24 hours in 2013. ‘Fake Love’ thereby sits in third place.

Earlier this month, BTS announced its world tour.
