BIGBANG singers G-Dragon and Taeyang have confirmed they are awaiting military draft notices.

YG Entertainment have confirmed that BIGBANG singers G-Dragon and Taeyang are preparing to receive military draft notices.

“G-Dragon and Taeyang are waiting for their draft notices for active-duty service,” confirmed South Korean agency.

G-Dragon and Taeyang will be the second and third members of Kpop group BIGBANG to serve in the military. Fellow band member T.O.P. is currently serving as a public service worker after he was arrested for marijuana possession. The singer was sentenced to 10 months in prison suspended for two years.

South Korean conscription began in 1957 and requires all male citizens to serve two years of military service at any point between 18 years old and 35 years old.

Last year, Taeyang was appointed as an ambassador for the 2018 Pyeonchang Winter Olympics. Read our review of his 2017 tour here.
