The dark comedy is directed by 50/50's Jonathan Levine.
Randall Park has joined the cast of Lionsgate’s new dark comedy Flarsky.
The Fresh Off The Boat star joins Seth Rogen, Charlize Theron and Alexander Skarsgard in Jonathan Levine’s new film, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Flarsky follows the tale of down-on-his-luck journalist Fred Flarsky (Rogen) who pursues his childhood crush and former babysitter (Theron). There’s just one twist – Theron’s character is now the secretary of state and is one of the most powerful people on earth.
Skarsgard plays the prime minister of Canada and Park will play Flarsky’s boss at his newspaper.
Theron, Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Beth Kono and AJ Dix will produce.
Park previously worked with Rogen in the comedy, The Interview, in which he played North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.
Recently, Park discussed the importance of representation on screen, saying, “the media is so powerful and it really shapes the way people think.”
