A clip of first lady Melania Trump being ignored by South Korean girls whose attention is stolen by Choi Minho has been circulating on social media.

The first lady was at the U.S. ambassador’s residence in Seoul delivering a speech to encourage more female participation in sport. Sponsored by the government, to promote the 2018 Olympic Winter Games in PyeongChang, the event also featured Korean pop star Choi Minho, a member of the boy band SHINee.

Trump was standing behind a group of girls playing a makeshift game of hockey for the perfect photo opportunity. However, the girls quickly become giddy with excitement when they notice Minho standing to their left.

Bursting into screams of excitement and applause, the girls seem to ignore Trump, who perviously earned the nickname “robotic Melania” for her rather expressionless but calm character.

However, Trump took the incident with good spirit and even sported a rare but wide smile.

“I honestly never saw Melania smiling so genuinely,” one person wrote on Twitter while another tweeted, “This is honestly the first time I’ve seen Melania smiling.”

Others didn’t blame the girls for ignoring the US first lady. “Not really surprised that Melania got ignored for ChoiMinho I mean any sensible person would’ve done the same thing,” one person wrote.

“Everyone completely ignored Melania bc they were fascinated at Minho,” another tweeted.
