‘Wonderland’ director Tiffanie Hsu discusses HBO Visionaries and the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival

‘Wonderland’ director Tiffanie Hsu who won second place at the HBO APA Visionaries competition has discussed her film and the importance of the festival.

Speaking to Resonate, Hsu said that her “fascination with Vegas” was the initial inspiration for her film Wonderland.  The film depicts the tale of a young girl who struggles to fix her family whilst stranded in Vegas over Christmas.

Hsu said the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival (LAAPFF) was incredibly important for her success. “[LAAPFF] feels like coming home, my first film played here.”

The director also praised HBO, who ran the APA Visionaries Short Film Competition. “To add HBO into the mix is incredbile. They are at the forefront of what they do in distribution and creating content. To have them put their name on our film is so exciting.”
