The four-member girl group's channel includes 'Stay', 'Whistle' and 'Playing With Fire'
BLACKPINK’s YouTube channel has garnered over 2 million subscribers in just 7 months.
Allkpop reports that the four-member girl group launched their YouTube channel on 28 June 2016 – one month before BLACKPINK’s official debut album.
The channel’s first upload was a dance video of Rihanna’s ‘Bitch Better Have My Money’. Official MVs of BLACKPINK’s biggest hits including ‘Stay’, ‘Whistle’ and ‘Playing With Fire’ are also featured on the channel.
Currently, BLACKPINK’s YouTube channel has 2,020,605 subscribers and 465,741,454 views. Other content found on the channel includes several dance practice videos of their own songs, live performances and teaser videos.
BLACKPINK comprises of Kim Jisoo, Kim Jennie, Park Chaeyoung (Rosé) and Panpriya Manoban (Lisa).
Soompi reported that BLACKPINK’s ‘Boombayah’ MV reached 100 million views on Tuesday.
“We really want to thank you all for this, especially our Blinks! You guys are the best. We’ll continue to bring you greater performances and music videos, so please keep watching over us and loving us,” the girl group wrote on their Instagram.
After their debut, Resonate writer Abbi Clark praised the group for “seeking to empower females and their fans in an incredibly upfront and obvious way”.
