Avril Lavigne’s sister, Michelle, has married One OK Rock bassist Ryota Kohama.

One OK Rock recently kicked off a nationwide tour, promoting their latest album, Ambitions. According to Rocket News 24, during their first stop of the tour at Shizuoka Ecopa Arena, bassist Ryo Kohama revealed on-stage that he got married earlier in the month.

Two days after the concert, the bassist shared a photo of himself and his newly wed bride on Instagram with teh caption, “I am so happy because I got married with Michelle!! She is so amazing.”

The day after, Canadian pop singer Avril Lavigne shared the same image, writing, “Congrats to my little sister Michelle and @ryota_0809 on their marriage. Wishing you both all the love and happiness in the world! ❤ #love #family”.

The ‘Complicated’ singer had previously encountered One OK Rock when both appeared on the same Japanese music TV show in 2013. The two also met when the Japanese band played in Canada. Lavigne even contributed vocals to One OK Rock’s ‘Listen’.

The sister of the ‘Girlfriend’ popstar, Michelle, has now changed her name to Michelle Kohama on her Instagram account.
