Brazilian star Oscar will move to Shanghai SIPG after Chelsea FC manager Antonio Conte accepted a £52m bid.

The transfer will make Oscar the 16th most expensive player in history, topping David Luiz’s £50m move to PSG as Chelsea’s most expensive sale.

Oscar told Brazilian network Globo that there were just a few final stages to complete before he officially can make the move from the UK to China, “It’s 90% right. It just depends on some bureaucratic details.”

Oscar was a key player for Chelsea FC under Rafa Benitez and Jose Mourinho but current boss Antonio Conte has refused to start him in any league games since September.

The attacking midfielder will play alongside Brazilian teammate Hulk who moved to Shanghai SIPG earlier this year.

The Chelsea player will also see a familiar face in former Chelsea teammate Demba Ba who plays for rivals Shanghai Greenland Shenhua.

Former Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas recently replaced Sven-Goran Eriksson as manager of Shanghai SIPG after the Suede was sacked.
