A Chinese camgirl will spend 4 years in prison after distributing pornographic videos of herself.

21-year-old Lin took part in “obscene videos’ that were distributed online. Police deemed her decision to chose a profession in porn was derived from a “perverse” desire to be famous, not out of necessity as her family was not in poverty.

After graduating from college, Lin said she worked as a saleswoman but grew tired of it.

Lin admitted to participating in the “Chengdu Foursome” viral video to gain more followers. The clip features two women and two men engaging in sexual acts together.

One of the women in the video was recognizsd as a webcam host popularly known as ‘Sydney Gun ‘or ‘Xue Liqiang (雪梨枪)’.

Lin’s webcasts involve her talking and teasing fans, whilst exposing herself.

Lin had attracted 40,000 followers across multiple live-streaming platforms and had profited 75,000 yuan.

Yesterday, Lin was charged for creating pornographic material for profit and was sentenced to 4 years in prison with a fine of 100,000 yuan.

Lin was arrested with her cohorts after arriving from Dubai last May.

For this, Lin was charged yesterday with disseminating pornographic material for profit and sentenced yesterday to 4 years in prison and fined 100,000 yuan.

Whilst a number of Chinese online services have embraced live-streaming, including Weibo, Chinese government has enforced strict monitoring on the live-streaming industry within the country.

Camgirls and online hostesses in China made money by seducing their viewers into purchasing virtual gifts such as roses, chocolates and designer bags.

Pornography has been banned in China since the PRC was established in 1949. Those found guilty of producing or distributing such content can be reprimanded and incarcerated.

China’s largest porn site creator was sentenced to life in prison in 2005.
