Tate is a recent graduate from the University of Oxford where she studied musicology. Tate’s research areas include deconstructing ‘Orientalism’ and ‘Othering’ of East Asian women within music and visual culture. Tate is currently a qualitative researcher for Voice ESEA and Global Women’s Narratives Project where she aims to bring critical perspectives on injustice toward women and ESEAs within a more political and applied setting. Through writing with Resonate, Tate hopes to contribute toward amplifying voices of under-represented groups and ESEA creatives.
